Painting a Portrait in Acrylics

Two day workshop

On day one, you will learn about the proportions of the face and how to obtain a likeness by making preliminary sketches and tonal drawings before preparing your canvas and making a tonal under-painting.

Day two will begin with colour preparation/ mixing, then applying paint using brushes and palette knife. You will explore various techniques and approaches to painting in acrylics and in attempting to capture a likeness in your portrait.
